There's something magical about not thinking about anything but the task in hand. It is even better when the task is not really a "task" but something you are doing for the pure pleasure of doing so.
Reading, painting, knitting and drinking tea.. That is my day today and why on earth not? There is no need to rush, time is there for a reason, to spend in what manner we want and to enjoy the things we love. Time is not there for us to rush or do things we hate, even when doing the things we hate, there is no need to hate it you just have to enjoy it by making it enjoyable. Dance and sing whilst washing the pots, listen to your favourite tunes whilst cleaning the house. Time is there for us to enjoy and this is what I intend to do as much as possible.
This blog post is celebration of two other matter also. Number one, I finally got around to buying "Oh Comely" the other day and when I managed to sit on my sofa to read, I immediately decided to subscribe. It is just a beautiful magazine and so dreamy and idealistic. My favourite article of Issue Eleven is "A fear of garden fences: I can't help yearning for open skies" by Kate Fridkis, I felt as though I was reading about myself, and for a while, I got completely lost.
Number two is that I have opened my Etsy shop so I have an outlet for some prints I'm working on, one of them being this Diana Mini "Snap Happy" number. It is a work in progress so items will be added over the next two weeks, I hope you go and have a peek.
