Nearing the end of five wonderful days in Avignon in France, my Mum turned to me sweetly smiling at my glum face and said "I don't want you to look sad, this has given you a taste of what's to come"... I smiled sweetly back and just starred at the illuminated carousel crammed with cheering, nervous yet grinning small children.
I had never visited Avignon before, with eleven visits to Paris under my belt already, my Mum and I thought a change would be good and refreshing. If you enjoy the finer things in life, looking longingly over beautiful squares at just as beautiful people then you should visit Avignon. In the coming days I am going to do a couple of posts on the highs of this wonderful city, from must-sees to must-eats.
For now, let's admire these views...
